Chairman Basico Exco Dr. Ndanusa Inaugurates the Board of Trustees of the Endowment Fund: and says the Fund will promote academic excellence, innovation, and sustainable development of our alma mater ABU Zaria.
Speaking further Ndanusa acknowledged the pioneering role of the Alumni in establishing the Endowment Fund which he affirmed that as a corporate entity, it was empowered to carry out its corporate social responsibility programs.
At the event, the Basico Chairman exhorted the BOT Chairman, and members to bring their wealth of experience to bear on the onerous responsibility and announced a take-off grant of 50 million to serve as seed money for the fund.
Responding on behalf of the BOT members the pioneer Chairman of the historic inauguration Alhaji Ahmadu Adamu Muazu and former Governor of Bauchi State, expressed gratitude for the opportunity to serve.
He acknowledged the enormity of the task ahead but promised to work tirelessly with his team to lay a solid foundation for the Endowment Fund.
The Chairman emphasized the need for collective effort and sacrifice to ensure the success of the Fund.
The inauguration ceremony was followed by a dinner reception, where guests had the opportunity to mingle, network, and celebrate the occasion.
The Basico Endowment Fund for Sustainable Development aims to support the development of Ahmadu Bello University Zaria through partnerships, collaborations strategic investments.
With the inauguration of the BOT, the Basico Alumni Association has taken a significant step toward promoting sustainable development and academic excellence at ABU Zaria.
The inauguration was held on the 16th of December 2024, at Abuja.
